CHRISTMAS edition – Sip, Shop, & Sourdough at Holly House Christmas boutique is back!!

This event was such a hit last year and we’re bringing it back. Celebrate the magic of the Christmas season with The Sourdough Lady at Holly House Artisan Market Boutique, this year in Burnsville, MN – Formerly Kirklands, right next to Dicks Sporting Goods! Join me for a cozy and festive Sip, Shop & Sourdough event — where we’ll combine the art of sourdough baking with a touch of holiday cheer, local holiday shopping, and community.

This special edition of my popular Sourdough for Beginners class brings a festive twist. Together, we’ll mix and create a beautiful sourdough loaf. In addition you’ll also learn creative ways to gift sourdough this season — from sharing your starter to wrapping homemade loaves beautifully for friends and family.

Because this event takes place in the charming setting of Holly House, a seasonal pop up Artisan Market, you’ll sip some wine, mix sourdough bread, and shop an incredible collection of local artisan goods — making this the perfect holiday outing for you and your favorite people.

What we’ll cover:

• How sourdough works & why it’s different from commercial yeast
• How to feed, care for, and maintain your own sourdough starter
• Mixing dough, stretch & folds, and bulk fermentation
• Cold Fermentation, Baking & Storing sourdough bread
• Ingredients and recommended tools
• How to gift sourdough — from wrapping baked loaves beautifully to sharing your starter with others this Christmas season
• Tips & tricks for sourdough success and plenty of time for Q&A

• One medium-large sized bowl (for mixing and taking your dough home)

• A jar of my 170-year-old San Francisco sourdough starter “Phoebe”, fed and active
• An ornament jar of dehydrated sourdough starter
• Your own dough, ready to finish fermenting, shape, and bake at home

Return & Cancellation Policy:

We understand that life happens. If you’re unable to attend, your registration is transferable to another class date or to another guest in your place with notice. If you notify us at least 72 hours before class, we’ll gladly issue you a class credit to use for a future event.

Please note: due to the time, ingredients, and preparation involved in each class, credits and transfers are not available for cancellations made within 72 hours of the event.
